One of the last pearl farm in the UAE is now open to the public and able to showcase the heritage and history behind the pearl farmers in the country. Located about 2 hours from the city of Dubai, in the small fisherman village of Al Rams, it is beautifully nestled between the Arabian Sea and the Al Hajar mountains.

The visit starts with a short boat ride of approximately 20 minutes in between the Mangrove forest of RAK, arriving at the Pearl Farm itself where the real tour will start. The professional local guide will share the story of Mr. Abdulla Rashed Al Suwaidi, the first Arabian pearl farmer and how this jewel was restored and brought to life again in 2005. The tour will continue going throughout the process of cultivation of pearls, the Suwaidi pearl collection and an amazing oyster opening experience where you have the 60% of chances to find a real pearl!






The highlight of the experience is certainly the Oyster opening which reveals the magic of the entire process, the passion of the guide and the experience to open it shows how the Pearl Farm is an important activity nowadays in UAE.
